Jay Z Officially Becomes NBA Sports Agent

Jay Z had been systematically removing his business ties with the Brooklyn Nets so he could represent NBA players as part of his Roc Nation Sports agency.

He sold off his share of the team to the new head coach, Jason Kidd, and last week he sold his stake in the Barclays Center.

Now, Jigga has officially filed his documents and to become a certified NBA play representative, and informed the league that he no longer has conflicting business interests.

According to Sports Business Daily writer Liz Mullen, Jay Z is now officially certified to represent NBA players. It's not exactly a surprise, seeing as how Jay Z signed Kevin Durant to his Roc Nation Sports over the summer. But he just made things official by letting the National Basketball Players' Association know that he has sold his stake in the Nets and is now free and clear to represent players without any conflict of interest.

He has already signed Kevin Durant to his roster, and now that he's officially able to represent players it will be interesting to see what other big names in the NBA he can convince to join his team.
