Drug Thugs In Mexico Warn More Violence Is To Come After Pinning Notes On Victims With Ice Picks

Drug thugs in Mexico who used ice picks to pin notes on two of seven mutilated bodies displayed for public view are promising more violence. Seven bodies with bullet wounds were found in the sitting position in plastic chairs in the city of Uruapan, located in the Mexican state of Michoacan, on Saturday.

The bodies were found close to a traffic circle near a Pepsi bottling plant.

A note on one of the victims ominously read: "Warning, this is going to happen to all muggers, pickpockets, thieves of cars, homes and walkers - as well as kidnappers, rapists and extortionists."

Police are investigating, but believe the seven men are victims of drug-related violence, which has taken approximately 70,000 lives in Mexico over the last seven years, according to Reuters.

Four of the seven victims have been identified as 31-year-old laborer Santiago Gómez Ramos, 28-year-old windshield washer Jorge Alberto Téllez, 17-year-old César Basilio Órnelas and 29-year-old Alberto Rodríguez Vega, according to the Borderland Beat blog.

Authorities believe the victims were executed in the same place they were found because shell casings were found at the scene, according to the report. One night before the bodies were found, at least seven people, including three off-duty federal agents, were shot dead in a bar in the city of Ciudad Altamirano.
